Our next hero is Martin Tosheski – a student ambassador and bachelor’s student, entering his third year at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).

Question: What was your biggest misconception about ECIU University before joining?

Martin Tosheski: Before joining ECIU University, I thought it would be impossible to manage all these activities alongside my full-time studies at KTU.  

However, taking the chance and joining one of them completely changed my perspective and cascaded into signing up for many more.

Q: What has been your favourite ECIU University course or activity so far, and why?

Martin: My favourite ECIU University course was an online micro-module organised by Hamburg University of Technology on the topic ‘Intelligent Systems in Medicine’. It allowed me to gain practical experience in my field while exploring an interesting application area and further deepening my knowledge.

Q: What would be your advice to students who consider joining ECIU University?

Martin: I would say – do not overthink it. Just pick a course, give it a try, and make the most of your experience, then judge.

I've always encountered an incredibly friendly atmosphere across all the Challenges I've participated in. You get the opportunity to interact and collaborate in a diverse international environment, meet a lot of new and amazing people, and experience another university and its community.

I also really appreciate the flexibility to explore topics outside your main area of study. You don't have to limit yourself to what you're already studying at your home university, which makes the experience much broader and more interesting.
